Description	:	TRYON Mrs. Ann Washburn Fincher, 73, of 689 S. Trade St., died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care in Spartanburg, S.C. Born in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Jewel Hicks Washburn. She moved to Polk County in 1966, coming from Rutherford County. Mrs. Fincher and her husband owned and operated Tryon Pharmacy until their retirement in 1991. She was past chair of the Polk County Democratic Party Precinct No. 2, and belonged to Tryon First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ellis M. She moved to Polk County in 1966, coming from Rutherford County. Mrs. Fincher and her husband owned and operated Tryon Pharmacy until their retirement in 1991. She was past chair of the Polk County Democratic Party Precinct No. 2, and belonged to Tryon First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ellis M. Fincher; one son, Ellis Fincher Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Tryon; two daughters and their husbands, Gloria F. and Freddie Elliott of Gaffney, S.C., and Cathy F. and Seth Vining of Gainesville, Ga.; two sisters, Bette Washburn and Patricia Harrison of Smyrna, Ga.; two halfbrothers, Dale Washburn and Flay Washburn of Shelby; four grandchildren, Trey Fincher and his wife, Missy of Tryon, Adam and Marjorie Vining of Gainesville and Amber Fincher of Tryon; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa and T.J. Fincher of Tryon. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Tryon First Baptist Church, with Dr. Darryl E. Maxwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service. McFarland Funeral Chapel of Tryon is in charge of arrangements.
