COULSON MORAVIA PIONEER TAKEN BY DEATH Widely Known and Loved Character Dies as the Result of an Automobile Accident Mrs. Hougal Coulson, 80, Moravia pioneer, died at St. Joseph's hospital in this city Wednesday evening at 6:00 o'clock. Death was the result of injuries received in an automobile accident Sept. 2. Mrs. Coulson is survived by her husband and four daughters, who are Mrs. Sadie Rouse, of Albia; Mrs. Francis Zahnheiser, of Montrose, Colorado; Mrs. Edna Johnson of Moravia; and Mrs. Arlie Wilson of Chariton. Mrs. Coulson is survived by her husband and four daughters, who are Mrs. Sadie Rouse, of Albia; Mrs. Francis Zahnheiser, of Montrose, Colorado; Mrs. Edna Johnson of Moravia; and Mrs. Arlie Wilson of Chariton. There are 11 grandchildren. One brother, Milo Main of Moravia, and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Harn, of Upland, California also survive. Mr. and Mrs. Coulson had celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Nov. 3, 1939. They had lived on the farm near Moravia until 1922 when they retired to make their home there. Mrs. Coulson was Anna Main prior to her marriage, and the daugther of Mr. and Mrs. John Main, early county pioneers. Anna Main was born near Moravia in October of '61. She has been almost a lifetime member of the United Brethren church and an earnest worker in that denomination. Her death is mourned by a great host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the U.B. church in Moravia at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. S. A. Fisher officiating, assisted by Rev. T. J. Zike, of Moravia. Burial will be in the Moravia cemetery.
