Description	:	Mrs. Anna Bowers, age 69, passed away Febr. 14 at the Atkinson hospital. Funeral services were held on Friday, Febr. 17 at 2 p.m., at the O'Neill Methodist church. She suffered a stroke several years ago from which she never completely recovered. Anna Bowers was born September 13, 1891 at Wilber to Mr. and Mrs. Vaclav Belohlavy. The family later moved to Gross in Boyd county. She was married March 10, 1908 to Tom Bowers. They were the children of five parents. Most of her life she spent in Boyd and Holt counties. Three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Beatrice) Havranek of Hamburg, Iowa, Mrs. Tony (Helen) Asimus of O'Neill, Mrs. Don (Florence) Elkins of Johnstown; four sisters, Mrs. Tillie Bowers of Bristow, Mrs. Mary Zatopek of Plattsmouth, Mrs. Rose Hranac of Silver Springs, Md., and Mrs. Sadie Davey of Bellevue. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mrs. Emma Sokol of Verdigre. Pallbearers were Clifford Nelson, Esty Nelson, Louis Havranek, E. A. Chore and Algot Sandberg.
