Description	:	NOTE: Anna's maiden is spelled Matteson in some records. Her marriages put her in records as Christian, Woodward and McFadden. Anna supported her son and parents by working as a milliner after her first marriage to Andrew Christian ended in divorce. Minnie, her daughter from that marriage, was raised by her father and paternal aunt and married at age 16. Their son, Albert, was raised by Anna. Anna's second marriage ended in divorce, too. It appears Seth Woodward was married to his wife Elinor "Nettie" both before Anna's marriage to him and afterward. Anna may have knowingly or unknowingly entered... It appears Seth Woodward was married to his wife Elinor "Nettie" both before Anna's marriage to him and afterward. Anna may have knowingly or unknowingly entered into marriage with a bigamist. The census records show first wife Elinor did not accept her husband back for long, as she listed herself in the 1910 census as a widow, long before Seth actually died. While it is currently unknown whether Andrew Christian (first husband) was a Civil War veteran, Anna's next 2 husbands were vets who ended up in soldiers' homes for the disabled. Joseph Smith, III, president of the Reorganized Latter Day Saints Church, was Anna's brother-in-law.
