| Description | : | Anna "Nancy" McFarland was born Jan. 6, 1831 in Pennsylvania and became the second wife of Edward J. Dorsey, married March 31, 1853. To this union were born at least four sons and six daughters, and the family lived in the Moro, Illinois area until around 1873. Edward died suddenly in 1873, at the age of 57, as the family was preparing to move to Iowa.
