She is survived by three sons, Mike (Barb) of Grand Junction, CO, Bob (Pat) of Williamsburg, and Ed (Jean) of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Ann Lillis of Williamsburg, and Maggie Lillis of Iowa City; seven grandchildren, Jana Teal (Brent) of Thornton, CO, John Lillis (Ashley) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Brian Lillis (Monica) of Austin, MN, Jason Lillis (Julie) of Durham, NC, Rachel Lillis (Brad Lawlor, fiance) of San Jose, CA, Beth Genkinger (Jeff) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Chris Lillis of Austin MN ; six great-grandchildren, Owen, Rob and Ava Lillis of Austin, MN, Calvin and Natalieann Genkinger of Cedar Rapids, and Toran Lillis of Highlands Ranch, CO; and a sister Peggy Schmitt of Neligh, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilfrid M. Lillis in 1976, a son Larry Lillis, a sister Rita Walter and two brothers, Leonard and Ed Murrin. Anna Catharine was born March 2, 1915 in rural Williamsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Laughlin Charles and Ann Veronica Carroll Murrin. She received her education in the Pilot Township (Sugar Hill) school and graduated from Parnell High School with the class of 1932. She received her associate degree from Ottumwa Heights College and a B.A. in Education from the University of Iowa. Catharine married Wilfrid Michael Lillis on October 1, 1941 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Parnell. Catharine taught at Dillon School (2 yrs), Gherry School (2 yrs), Oxford Public School (4 yrs), and Williamsburg Community School (13 yrs). She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Parnell, and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williamsburg, the Royal Neighbors of America, the American Legion Auxiliary and Delta Kappa Gamma. She enjoyed reading, but her main interests were her family and the grandchildren.
