Carver, who has been seriously ill for the past three years, died at her home 517 Twelfth street, Tuesday morning, at 6:30 o'clock. Anna Pherrin was born near Springville in 1856. While her father was engaged as a soldier in the civil war, she and her mother lived with relatives at Erie, Pa., returning to Springville at the close of the sanguinary struggle. She was married at Marion to George W. Carver in 1868, and to them were born five children, one of whom, Kitty, died in 1891[sic]. the four living children are Mrs. Fred Haines, of Rowley, Mrs. C.O. Ingersoll of Marion, Mrs. Wybro Griffiths of Waukegan and R.C. Carver of Marion, who with the husband, survive the deceased. Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, and will be in charge of Rev. A.H. Hanscom of the Methodist church. Burial will be in Oak Shade cemetery.
