White Anna Delpline Brewer, second daughter of Mathew and Margaret Brewer, was born February 14, 1860, at Edenville, now known as Rhodes, Iowa, passed to her reward at her home in Lamoni on March 1, 1927, at the age of 67 years 14 days. White Anna Delpline Brewer, second daughter of Mathew and Margaret Brewer, was born February 14, 1860, at Edenville, now known as Rhodes, Iowa, passed to her reward at her home in Lamoni on March 1, 1927, at the age of 67 years 14 days. Her early years were spent at Rhodes, where she grew to womanhood, and on April 15, 1876, was united in marriage to David Curtis White, Elder I. N. White, brother of the groom officiating. They made Rhodes their home until the year 1884, when they moved to Clinton, Mo., where they remained ten years, going from there to Blairstown, Mo., where they lived the next five years until they moved to Lamoni in the year 1899. To this union were born twelve children: A. Otis, Charles K, Oliver C., Elmer Willis, A. May., Eliza Etta, Margaret B., Jennie V., Frances A., Blossom Z., E. Dewey, and Lucy D., two of whom have preceded her in death: Elmer Willis, who died in infancy and Aletha May (Mrs. C. A. Skinner) who died in 1924. Besides the ten children she leaves to mourn a loving and devoted companion, one sister, Mrs. Mollie Johnson of Rhodes, Iowa, and one brother Willis P. Brewer, of Bakersfield, Calif., thirty-nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numberless friends who realize that in her going they have sustained an irreparable loss. On July 10, 1878, following her marriage, she was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at Rhodes, Iowa, by Elder I. N. White and remained faithful to her covenant to the end. Her greatest satisfaction was in the fact that all her children united with the church in early childhood. Mrs. White was best known for her [illegible line] ... ... life proved a very devoted companion and mother, winning the love of her family and others who came in contact with her life. And now the children, though all married and having families of their own, feel keenly the loss of a mother whose example will remain a constant guide on their journey through life. In her going, one of the meek and gentle handmaidens of earth, has gone to where sorrow is not known, where a just God reigns and waits to welcome all such with a "well done, thou good and faithful servant." Funeral services for Mrs. White will be held at the Brick church at 2:30 Friday afternoon. Body will lie in state at the home on South Linden street, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. of the same day.
