Description	:	ANNA CHADER Anna Dorothy Berg, daughter of Gust and Marie Berg, was born near Canby, Minn; on May 17, 1877 and departed this life, Dec. 15, 1954, at the Ottumwa hospital. Her death followed a short illness. She was married to Rev. C.H. Chader of Summitt, S.D. in 1901. To this union were born three children, Alpah Wittmer of Ottumwa, Earl of Douds and one daughter Vera, who preceded her in death, as did her husband in 1942. Her death followed a short illness. She was married to Rev. C.H. Chader of Summitt, S.D. in 1901. During the 40 years of her married life she with her husband, served Methodist churches in Minn., Nebr., Okla., and Iowa. During which time they served several years on the Douds-Selma-Mt. Moriah circuit. During the latter years of her life, one of her principal interests were her great-grand children. Following the loss of her husband she continued her custom of attending church every Sunday. Surviving are her son and his wife Bessie and her daughter and three grand-children, Ila June Chader, Douds; Ronald Lewis, Mankato, Minn; Mrs. Cleone Dentinger, Ottumwa, Ia; and six great-grand children. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, at the Pedrick Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hann of Douds officiating. Interment in the Leando Cemetery. Source: Van Buren Co.
