Description	:	Mrs. Anna Beethe, nee Duden, was born Oct. 2, 1867, in Ostfriesland, Germany, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. When sixteen years of age her parents emigrated to America, settling in Johnson county, Nebraska. Two years later she married August Beethe of Johnson county. Later, the family moved to Butler county, then to Fullerton, North Dakota and finally to Seward, Nebraska.Eight children were born to her of whom two sons, Edwin and August, as also her husband, preceded her in death.After suffering a stroke in the fall of 1941, Mrs. Beethe gradually improved. Later, the family moved to Butler county, then to Fullerton, North Dakota and finally to Seward, Nebraska.Eight children were born to her of whom two sons, Edwin and August, as also her husband, preceded her in death.After suffering a stroke in the fall of 1941, Mrs. Beethe gradually improved. However, at the beginning of this year she suffered an attack of the flu which aggravated her condition. She died on Monday, August 23, 1943, at her home on South Street. Her age is 76 years, 10 months and 21 days.Five daughters and one son survive her. There are (eta naoi; typo) survive her, also one step-sister, Mrs. Anna Wilkins of Bruning and some nieces and nephews. There are 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.On Thursday, August 26, funeral services were held in St. John Lutheran Church. Interment was in the Greenwood cemetery.Those attending the funeral of Mrs. Anna Beethe from out of town were: Martin C. Beethe of Fullerton, North Dakota; Mrs. A. H. Beethe and Lorene; Mrs. Louise Emshoff; Miss Clara Z???; Mr. Lewis Nuttleman; and Mr. Henry Kehmier of Lincoln, Nebr.; Mr. Victor Beethe and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Beethe of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Grove and family; Mr. and Mrs. Art Buethe, Mr. and Mrs. G.
