Her son, Benjamin F. Dunn owned a farm in Section 2 of Township 32 North, Range 8 East, north of Crystal Springs and west of Harper, Kansas. Most of the census records, probate documents for husband Moses W. Hall and the military and pension records for Moses W. Hall listed her as ANN ELIZA HALL. Some other descendant family have identified her as Anna Elizabeth Hall. Ann Eliza Dowell was first married to Benjamin F. Dunn who she divorced on grounds of desertion. In the 1850 census, Ann and her son John Dunn were residing in the household of her father, Jeremiah Dowell, in Moniteau County, Missouri. She married Moses W. Hall in 1858 and was in the Hall household on the 1860 census. Her sons J.W.T. (John) Dunn and B. F. (Benjamin Franklin) Dunn were also residing in the Hall household. Moses Hall was previously married to "Francis" (Kathryn Francis Jones) and had several children from that first marriage. Moses W. Hall died January 27, 1865 at the Sedgewick General Hospital, in Louisville, KY. He was on active duty as a Private in the Union Army at the time of his death. His death was determined to have resulted from his service and was termed "in the line of duty." According to the National Cemetery Graves Registry, M. W. Hall was buried in the New Albany National Cemetery, in Indiana. Confirmation of this has not yet been made.
