The daughter of Anthony and Ida Bongers she was born June 25, 1888 in Keokuk. She was married to W. L. Runnells 41 years ago last May 8. She was a member of Sacred Heart church and of the Altar and rosary society. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert and Leo Runnells, who operate the Camera shop in Ottumwa: three grandchildren: a sister, Mrs. Theresa Collins, Des Moines and two brothers, the Rev. Herman Bongers, Clinton and Leo Bongers, Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother John Bongers. The body was removed to the Vaughan funeral home waiting completion of arrangements. Funeral Services Funeral services for Mrs. W. L. Runnells 1106 S. Iowa Avenue, who died Friday afternoon at the St. Joseph hospital, will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Vaughan funeral home at 10 o'clock there will be a solemn requiem high mass, celebrated by her brother, the Rev. Herman Bongers of Clinton. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The body was taken to the Runnells residence this afternoon and will be returned to the Vaughan homes at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Members of the General Shield council, No. 888, Knights of Columbus will meet at their hall on West Third Street at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and will go to the Vaughan home to recite the rosary with the Catholic Daughters of America at 8 p.m.
