Mrs. Harold was born on January 11, 1858, in Fairfield Township and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koch and was one of a family of 10 children as follows: Mrs. Charles Souder, Columbiana; Miss Samantha Koch, Mrs. John Hively, Mrs. Eva Rupert, John and Jacob Koch, Mrs. William Zimmerman, New Waterford; Mrs. Henry Lehman, St. Louis, M0.; A brother, George Koch, deceased. The husband with one son, Ralph survive with two grandchildren, Anna and Harold Metz, of Saulsberry, N.Y. Mrs. Harold was a member of the New Waterford Lutheran Church for many years and had always resided in Unity Township. Short services were held on Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the home after which services were conducted in the Columbiana Lutheran Church at 2:30 by Rev. C. E. Krumm. A large number of relatives and friends were in attendance. Interment was made in Columbiana mausoleum.
