Anna Elizabeth Keiper, wife of Fred J. Keiper of rural Palo, a lifelong resident of the Atkins vicinity, died at her home at 6:15 p.m. Saturday after a long illness. She was born Nov. 14, 1894, in Benton county and was married Oct. 4, 1917 at Waterloo. Surviving are her husband; 2 daughters, Mrs. Wilma Sander of Palo and Mrs. Marie Bell of Hiawatha; 2 sons, Louis, of Ryan and Lawrence of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Happel of Vinton; 3 brothers, John and Fred Krug of Atkins and Martin Krug of Cedar Rapids, and 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Keiper was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church of Atkins, the ladies society of the church, American Legion auxiliary and the Linn County Farm Bureau Women. Services: St. Stephen's Church at 2 Wednesday by the Rev. Julius Koch. Burial will be in the St. Stephen's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Turner chapel from 1 p.m. Sunday until noon Tuesday and at the family home after 4 Tuesday. -------------------------
