ANNA EBLEN DIES AT MASSENA Massena, Ia., Nov. 27 - (Special) - Mrs. Anna Basor Eblen, 78, died yesterday afternoon at 8:30 at the home of her son, Glen Eblen, near Massena. Mrs. Eblen was taken to her son's home after receiving a broken hip in a fall at her home in Massena last October 31. She was born in Pennsylvania April 23, 1861, the daughter of David and Margaret Basor, and came with her parents to Adams county, Iowa when a small girl, residing there until her marriage to John R. Eblen September 8, 1891. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Eblen lived on a farm near here until retiring and moving to Massena in 1920. Mr. Eblen died in 1924. Surviving are three children, Mrs. Gertrude Connor of Massena, Mrs. Myrtle Starlin of Cumberland, and Glen, at whose home she died; six stepchildren, Mrs. Mary Amdor, Mrs. Kate Jennings, Owen and John P. Eblen, all of Massena; Mrs. Susie Pace of Creston and Frank Eblen of Oslo, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Eblen of Massena and Mrs. Della Morley of Omaha, and one brother, Dave Basor, of Massena. There ware thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Reno Catholic church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, the Rev. D. D. Dower officiating, assisted by the Rev. Father Flavin of Massena. Burial will be in the Reno Catholic cemetery and grandsons of Mrs. Eblen will serve as pallbearers.
