Read More	Mrs. Maurice Fitzgerald died at her home at 1009 Monona Street on Friday morning at 8:40, after an illness of three months. All that human ingenuity could contrive were used to alleviate pain and prolong live but she passed peacefully away surrounded by those dearest her. Mrs. Fitzgerald, nee Anna E. Masterson was born in Whiteside County, Illinois, September 15, 1862. She removed to Iowa with her parents when but a child and lived for a number of years in this city. She was married first to Edward B. Murray who died about five years ago, leaving her with two small children. She then learned telegraphy and for three years had charge of the Western Union Office at this place, a position in which she gave universal satisfaction. On May 11, 1898, she was married to Maurice Fitzgerald, proprietor of the Opera House Pharmacy and well known business man. This is a sad blow to Mr. Fitzgerald and her two children, Edward and Omer, aged 9 and 5 years respectively. Besides the husband and children, her aged father, Thomas Masterson, her brothers, John of this city and Henry and P.A. of Clinton, two sisters, Mrs. Harve Ferrill of this city and Mrs. R.W. Bamford of Charter Oak survive her and have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends. The funeral was held on Sunday at 10:30 a.m., the services being held at the church of the Sacred Heart, where Father Lenehan paid a fitting tribute to the life of the deceased. A large concourse of friends followed the remains to the Catholic cemetery where interment took place.
