Description	:	Anna Jones was born to Michael & Margaret Bond Jones. Her first husband was Joseph M. Smith, who was killed at Andersonville, GA, on December 3, 1864. They were married on 13 NOV 1846, and had at least 7 children. On 09 JUL 1868 she married Warren Davenport. Though Warren was considered wealthy by standards then, she brought tremendous assets into their marriage, too -- having inherited her late husbands estate as well as her father's. Her first husband was Joseph M. Smith, who was killed at Andersonville, GA, on December 3, 1864. They were married on 13 NOV 1846, and had at least 7 children. On 09 JUL 1868 she married Warren Davenport. Though Warren was considered wealthy by standards then, she brought tremendous assets into their marriage, too -- having inherited her late husbands estate as well as her father's. Later, her daughter from her first marriage wed Warren's grandson, John William Davenport. After Warren died on 27 MAY 1879, she believed that his adult children had wronged her, even neglected her and depriving her of her own property, as well as going against the wishes of Warren. The case was fought all the way to the Tennessee Supreme Court, where, in 1883, it was ruled that she had proven her cause. She died about 2 years later and Warren's son, Burchette Douglas, buried her in the family cemetery on the opposite side of Warren from his first wife, Susey.
