Description	:	Wife of Anton and dau of Joseph & Francisan (Muller) Wieden Anna Franziska Wieden was born September 28, 1844, in Hernsdorf, close to Deutsch Gabel, county of Jungbunslau, Bohemia, Austria. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church at Deutsch Gabel. In October, 1870, she accompanied her brother, Wenzel Wieden, to the United States, locating in Fillmore County, Nebraska. Read More	Wife of Anton and dau of Joseph & Francisan (Muller) Wieden Anna Franziska Wieden was born September 28, 1844, in Hernsdorf, close to Deutsch Gabel, county of Jungbunslau, Bohemia, Austria. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church at Deutsch Gabel. In October, 1870, she accompanied her brother, Wenzel Wieden, to the United States, locating in Fillmore County, Nebraska. Her father resided on a homestead in this county, which he took up in the spring of 1870. Franziska was assisting her father in building and keeping his home. January 3, 1872, she was married to Anton Nun. Mr. Nun was a homesteader at that time in Glengary Township. this union was blessed with eight children, seven sons, Anton, Wenzel, Andrew, Charley, Frank, John and Joseph and one daughter, Mary. Three children preceded their mother in death in their childhood. these three children were Charley, Mary and Joseph. Tuesday of last week she became ill, being struck with apoplexy, which made her sightless and speechless and paralyzed the right side of the body. After five days of suffering, she died at her home in Ohiowa, Sunday morning at 5:30, October 22, 1922, aged 78 years and 24 days. She leaves to mourn her death, her aged husband, Anton Nun Sr., five children, Anton Wenzel, Andrew, Frank, and John; and twelve grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Henry Claussen Sr. of Ohiowa, three brothers, William of Sutton, Wenzel of Oklahoma and Joseph in Bohemia, Austria and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home October 24 at 2 p.m. and at 2:30 at the Lutheran Church, Rev. J. A. Bahnsen. The text of the German sermon was Ruth 1:16-17. The text for the English sermon was the work of Holy Scripture, "It is I, be not afraid." Interment was at the Claussen cemetery. the Methodist quartet sang two selections, one at home and one at the church. The funeral was largely attended. Many were compelled to remain outside. The floral contributions were many, showing the esteem in which she was held. Her life was spent quietly doing what she could. The bereaved have our sympathy. The Nebraska Signal October 1922
