Description	:	During the first week in March, 1875, Ellis Sammons had a dream. He dreamed of a child drowning in a tub of water. The scene was so vivid and impressed him so much that when he arose the next morning he decided to visit the Gibson farm, some three miles distant. He dreamed of a child drowning in a tub of water. The scene was so vivid and impressed him so much that when he arose the next morning he decided to visit the Gibson farm, some three miles distant. Before he left home, he turned some wash tubs in the yard bottom up. On his way to visit the Gibson farm, he pass the Martin Home. Mrs. Martin had already placed her tubs on the wash bench with water in them. They were near the road and he saw them as he passed by. Mrs. Martin was down in the nearby woods getting sticks to make a fire under the wash pot. Ellis, a one-armed man, stepped up and turned those tubs bottom up. He went on his way across the creek and up the hill to the Robert B. Gibson home (where the Taylors branch of the Greenville Public Library now sits). There he witnessed a heart-rending scene. One of the older children had pulled little Anna out of a tub of water which was under the eave of the house. A grief stricken family placed her little body in the family graveyard, not far from her home. Contributed by Nolen Brunson
