Description	:	From an unnamed newspaper dated 23 December 1967, accessed online from the Drake Community Library, Grinnell, Iowa Funeral services were held at the Gilman Community church for Mrs. Anna J. Narber, who died at Friendship Manor nursing home in Grinnell. Rev. Wendell Henline, interim pastor of the Gilman Community church, officiated. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery at Gilman. Mrs. Narber was born near Gilman on October 8, 1880, to William and Sophia Bobzine Nielandt. She attended the rural schools near her home and on February 28, 1912, was married to Frank A. Narber at Gilman. Mrs. Narber was born near Gilman on October 8, 1880, to William and Sophia Bobzine Nielandt. She attended the rural schools near her home and on February 28, 1912, was married to Frank A. Narber at Gilman. Mr. and Mrs. Narber farmed north of Gilman for 27 years until Mr. Narber retired from farming and they moved to Marshalltown. Mr. Narber died in 1953 and Mrs. Narber continued to live in Marshalltown until 1966 when she came to Grinnell. She was a charter member of the Gilman Community church and the Ladies Guild of the church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Ferne) Madill of Gilman; four grandchildren, Mrs. William (Barbara) Dunn, Jr. of Iowa Falls, and James, Kristine, and Craig Madill all of Gilman; two brothers, Will Nielandt of Des Moines and Henry Nielandt of Northwood. Mrs. Narber was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Fanton and Mrs. Minnie Muckler. Added on February 2, 2018
