Description	:	Anna Jacobs Van Ningen DE SMET- Anna Jacobs was born near Foreston, Ill., June 7, 1878, and died at 3:10 on the morning of December 16, 1933, at her home two miles south and one mile west of DeSmet. She was 60 years, six months and nine days of age at the time of her death. She lived with her parents at Foreston until March 20, 1899,when she was united in marriage to Paul Van Ningen of Bailey Ville, Ill.. Read More	Anna Jacobs Van Ningen DE SMET- Anna Jacobs was born near Foreston, Ill., June 7, 1878, and died at 3:10 on the morning of December 16, 1933, at her home two miles south and one mile west of DeSmet. She was 60 years, six months and nine days of age at the time of her death. She lived with her parents at Foreston until March 20, 1899,when she was united in marriage to Paul Van Ningen of Bailey Ville, Ill.. In 1904 she was converted in the Methodist Church at Harlan Center, Ill.. In the spring of 1908 the family moved to Ethan, Davison County, S.D., living there until the spring of 1918 when they moved to a farm near Iroquois, living there until 1933 when they moved to Brookings County, later moving back to Kingsbury, County at DeSmet. She died after a serious illness of three months, being bedfast for the last six week. She was the mother of four children: Paul, who died in 1911; Sirl Roy, Clarence Dallas and Mabel Anna. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and three children, Sirl Roy of Manchester; Clarence Dallas of DeSmet and Mabel Anna at home; five brothers, Tony, Freeport Ill., John, Forreston, Ill., William, Rockford, Ill., Lewis, Melbourne, Ia., and Jacob of Rhodes, Ia, two sisters and her father and mother preceded her in death. In addition there are three grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends who survive her. Interment was made in the family lot at Ethan on December 20 by the side of a son who died in 1911 at the age of ten.
