Description	:	Anna Jane Baker, 93, of Ottumwa, died December 9, 2020 in Marion with her niece, Teri Colton at her bedside. She was born May 25, 1927 in Hedrick to Noel C. and Zua Frances Bottorff Baker. A 1947 graduate of Hedrick High School, Jane worked for 40 years at St. Joseph Hospital as an operating room technician and then for 8 years at Ottumwa Regional Hospital, retiring in 1995. Read More	Anna Jane Baker, 93, of Ottumwa, died December 9, 2020 in Marion with her niece, Teri Colton at her bedside. She was born May 25, 1927 in Hedrick to Noel C. and Zua Frances Bottorff Baker. A 1947 graduate of Hedrick High School, Jane worked for 40 years at St. Joseph Hospital as an operating room technician and then for 8 years at Ottumwa Regional Hospital, retiring in 1995. She helped raise 13 of her siblings, loving and caring for each one of them. The light of her life was her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, each one having a special place in her heart. Surviving is her sister, Beverly (Dale) Coleman and brother, David (Sue) Baker; 19 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by 11 siblings, Bob, Jim, Dick, Bill, Roger, Jack and Jerry Baker, Jo Anne Tortat, Mary Helen Davis, Jean Galpin and infant, Betty Baker. Limited open visitation for friends will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 12th at Reece Funeral Home. Per Jane's wishes, the casket will remain closed. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rfh-ia.com. Private graveside services and burial will be held at McCormick Cemetery near Highland Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ecumenical Lord’s Cupboard or Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
