Her condition became so serious that she was taken to the hospital Saturday September 28. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gray of Monticello and was born on a farm near Hopkinton, August 5, 1880. She received her education in the rural schools near her home, and was married to Charles Lambert, August 26, 1903. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert were blessed with the birth of three sons, Coy, Hugh, and Charles, who live in Monticello, and one daughter, Mrs. Mark Lewis of Cedar Rapids. In addition to her husband and sons, Mrs. Lambert is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Miller of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. George --- of Monticello. Funeral services were held for Mrs. Lambert at the Presbyterian Church last Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. They were in charge of Rev. Leonard Duckett. Mrs. Lambert's body was laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery. The death of Mrs. Lambert in the prime of life is a severe blow to her husband and children. This is especially so with the youngest son, who will feel the need of the tender care of that only a Mother can give.
