Read More	Anna Jezbera Funeral Monday Mrs Anna Jezbera was born July 16, 1888, at Elba, Nebraska, to John and Anna Bochnicek Jares who had emigrated to America from Czechoslovakia and settled in Howard County in Nebraska in 1879. Anna was born and lived on a farm five miles west of Elba where she endured the hardships of the early pioneer days along with her parents and nine brothers and sisters. Arena Jares was united in marriage to Joseph Jezbera, who had also emigrated to America. Their wedding vows were made in St Paul. Nebr. on October 16, 1906. They made their first home on a farm in Howard County where they resided for four years. They lived eight years on a farm in Valley County. They purchased a farm in Round Valley in Custer County which they made their permanent home. Nine children were born to this union. Anna was a kind, gentle and loving mother and grandmother, uncomplainingly devoting her entire life and interest to her home and family. Her husband, Joseph, preceded her in death eleven years and five days, having passed away January 24, 1959. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Moravec, who resided in Omaha, Mrs Antonia Stepanek and Mrs. Rose Blazek of St Paul, and a sister who died in infancy; and one brother Edward Jares of St. Paul. Those left to mourn her going are her nine children, Lucy, Charles and Rosie, who cared for her at home- Edward of Calaway; Bill of Wilcox; Frank of Comstock; Bessie Schullz and Emma Smolik of Sargent and Louie of Olympia, Washington; 23 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and three brothers. John, Joe and Frank Jares of SL Paul, Nebraska Funeral services were held Monday, February 2, for Anna Jezbera, 82, a long time resident of the Round Valley Community, at the Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent with the Rev. Robert Frescoln officiating Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery. Rhoad Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bert Amos and Mrs. Larry Young sang accompanied by Mrs. Harold Pointer organist. Pallbearers were Oscar Olson, Gale Clark, Laddie Olson, Steve Haumont, Darrel Ottun and Thomas Kleeb.
