Description	:	Mrs. O. E. Ganoe, the wife of Dr. O.E. Ganoe, the well-known dentist, died at her home, 1422 Boone Street, on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The deceased had been ill for some time from heart trouble and while death was expected the family were scarcely prepared for the shock. Ganoe, the wife of Dr. O.E. Ganoe, the well-known dentist, died at her home, 1422 Boone Street, on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The deceased had been ill for some time from heart trouble and while death was expected the family were scarcely prepared for the shock. The deceased had an attack of scarlet fever more than a year ago and never fully recovered. In February she was taken to the Eleanor Moore hospital for treatment but after remaining there several weeks it was found that the treatment was of no avail. She was then taken to her home, where she remained until death ensued. The funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the First Presbyterian church, Rev. O.H.L. Mason officiating. Among the musical numbers played at the funeral were some of Mrs. Ganoe's favorites including "Rubinstein's Melody," "Some Day the Silver Chord Will Break," "Crossing the Bar," and "Nearer My God to Thee." The floral emblems were beautiful. The pall bearers were members of the Hypanthia Club as follows: Mesdames Graham, Douglass, Hollingsworth, Easterly, Strine and Miss Rice. The remains were laid to rest in East Linwood. Mrs. Ganoe, nee Anna Josephine Whitney, was born at Wrightstown, Wisconsin, December 22, 1880. When ten years of age the family removed to Chicago and there she made her home for nine years. While in that city she formed the acquaintance of Dr. Ganoe, then a student in college, and a few months after he located in Boone they were united in marriage. The ceremony was performed at Des Moines on June 7, 1900. She came to Boone with her husband and made her home here until her death. Besides the husband one daughter, Frances, five years of age survives. Her mother, Mrs. Pfeiler, one sister, Mary Pfeiler, who has made her home with Dr. and Mrs. Ganoe for some time, and two brothers, J.L. Whitney and James Pfeiler, of Omaha, also survive and were with her when she died. Boone County Democrat April 16, 1907
