Edwards and to all of that family has reached to many other homes and lives as we are reminded today of the death of Anne Katherine Edwards who left on Tuesday last, Oct 22 while at the home of her son, Fred Lutzen, after an illness which had lasted for 5 months. Decreased was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs Louis Anderson who were natives of Denmark, and the parental home at that time was Preston Iowa.Both parents are dead, the mother died in 1906 and the father in 1938.One brother died at age of 6 yrs. Mrs. Edwards was born on Sept 8, 1887. In 1907 she married Andrew Lutzen and there were three children from that marriage. Harold Lutzen of Baldwin, Esther Mae Struyk of Omaha, Neb and Fred Lutzen of Maquoketa Iowa. Decease was married to John D. Edwards on Feb. 10 1937 at Maquoketa and the home has been in NW Jackson County since that time.There are five grandchildren. Two brothers Pete Anderson of Maquoketa,Louis Anderson of Idaho Falls, Idaho and one sister Kate Klemme of Buckhorn. Mrs Edwards was a member of the Rebecck Lodge of Maquoketa. Funeral services were held from the Carson & Balster Funeral Home on Friday Oct 25, @ 2PM. Burial was made in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Junior Hicks sang on hymn accompanied by Mrs. John Wantz and the rites of the Royal Neighbors Lodge were used at the service. The obsequies were incharge of the Methodist minister the Rev. Harry D. Green.
