Vlach, was received in Clarkson, Saturday. Mrs. Vlach had been ailing for about five weeks and passed away Saturday morning at 2:55 at her home in Leigh. Her demise is attributed to infirmities attendant to advanced age. The deceased was known to us as a woman of a kind and pleasant disposition and it always was a pleasure to be in her company. Mrs. Vlach, nee Anna Kaspar, was born in Cerveny Hradek, Bohemia, where she first saw the light of day on August 24, 1850. At the time of death she had attained the age of 75 years, 5 months and 6 days. Her girlhood days were spent in the land of her birth where she became the wife of Joseph Vlach. In 1888 the family came to America and located at Dodge, Nebraska, where they resided until 1898 when they moved to Beemer. After a residence of four years in Cuming county they moved onto the Holan farm west of Clarkson where they made their home until 1910 and that same year moved to Leigh. Mr. Vlach died the following year. The deceased is survived by one daughter Mrs. Emil Molle of Leigh, and four sons, Joseph and Anton of Clarkson, Frank of Omaha and William of Leigh. One daughter, Mrs. Barbara Frank, died in 1912. Mrs. Vlach also leaves a sister and brother in Bohemia. The funeral was held Monday from the Wm. Molle home at Leigh where brief services in English were held. The remains were interned near Dodge, Rev. Filipi having been in charge of the rites.
