Seedorff, resident of Cascade since last November, passed away at the Monticello hospital at 8:00 o'clock p.m. Sunday, March 29, following an operation beset with complications. Due to her brief residence in Cascade, it is to be regretted that many did not have the opportunity of becoming acquainted with her fine Christian personality and neighborliness. She was a loving mother, a devoted wife and a real friend to all who knew her. Anna Katherine, her Christian name, was the daughter of John D. and Marguerite Adeline Brockmeyer. She was born November 1, 1881 at Colesburg, Iowa, and left this life at the age of 60 years, 4 months and 28 days. She was united in marriage to Ernest A. Seedorff on Aug. 15, 1905. To this union were born three sons and one daughter; Harley, Dale, Helen and Clarence. Surviving are her husband, Ernest Seedorff of Cascade; her sons; Harley Seedorff of Arlington, Iowa; Clarence Seedorff of Freeport, Ill.; her daughter, Mrs. Burl Brown of Des Moines, Iowa; her brothers: Herman and August Brockmeyer of Beach, North Dakota; Ben Brockmeyer of Bush, Colorado; Sam Brockmeyer of Washington state; and one sister, Mrs. Herbert Hill of Arlington, Iowa; also eight grandchildren. One son, Dale, preceded her n death. She was baptized in the German Methodist church at Colesburg, on March 26, 1882 and later became a member of the same church. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. April 1, 1942 from the Devaney Funeral Home and at 2:00 p.m. at the church in Arlington. Rev. F. L. Brooks, pastor of the Cascade Community church officiated. Internment was made at Arlington--Cascade Pioneer. The Arlington friends were grieved to hear of the passing of Mrs. Seedorff and extend their heartfelt sympathy to her loved ones.
