Anna Katherine Embrock was born at Lennox, SD on Feb. 5, 1917, the daughter of August and Carrie (Albright) Embrock. She grew up in the Tea and Hudson areas where she attended school. On Oct. 19, 1935 Ann was united in marriage to Richard Cramer at Orange City, IA. They lived in Hudson and later moved to Lennox where they lived most of their married life. She was employed as a janitor at First English Lutheran Church for 18 years, the Lennox Post Office for 14 years and Valley Exchange Bank for 14 years. Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1993 ending a marriage of over 58 years. Ann was an active and faithful member of First English Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild, was Directress on Stewardship and a member of WELCA, morning circle and Lennox Senior Citizens. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard, Jr., who died in infancy, two brothers: Clarence and John Embrock and one sister: Marie Sorlye. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Roxy Ann Houg and special friend, Kevin Wentzel, of Dell Rapids; two grandchildren: Troy Davies and special friend, Christene Brown of Hartford and Patricia Stansbury and her husband, Chris, of Canton; five great-grandchildren: Ava Davies, Halee, Morgan, Westin and Whyatt Stansbury; a sisters-in-law: Sena Gregorson of Canton and Millie Embrock of Sioux Falls; plus her special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
