Read More	Note: Oslo was called Christiana or Kristiana, prior to 1925. =================== The Renwick Times Renwick, Iowa 17 Jan 1929 Anna Katherine Klaessy Anna Katherine Klaessy, nee Luchsinger, was born Sept. 2, 1851, in Christiana, Norway (known as Oslo since 1925), and died in her home in Renwick, Iowa, Jan. 8, 1929, at the age of 77 years 4 months and 0 (or 6) days. At the age of three years she came with her parents to the United States and settled at New Glarus, Wis. There she attended school and was confirmed April 6, 1868, and became a member of the Swiss Reformed Church, remaining a member to her death. She was united in marriage with Joachin Klaessy in 1871. To this union were born eight children. To this union were born eight children, five daughters and three sons. Her husband, and one son and one daughter preceded her in death. Mrs. Klaessy was a faithful wife, a devoted mother and a good neighbor to all. The family moved to Iowa in 1891, settling on a farm north of Renwick, moving to Renwick in 1914. She leaves to mourn here departure: Four daughters, Mrs. Ida Stauffacher of Harrisburg, S. D., Mrs. Emma Bloom, Mrs. Vernena Phipps and Mrs. Ottillia Minor of Renwick; two sons, Samuel and Fred of Renwick; 17 grandchildren; her stepmother, three brothers, Nicholas Luchsinger of Monticello, Wis., Waldo Luchsinger of Oshkosh, Wis., and manny other relatives and friends. May God grand all a happy reunion in heaven. Funeral services were held Jan. 10th at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 at the Evangelical church by Rev. E. C. Grauner. Burial took place at LuVerne cemetery. ------ CARD OF THANKS We are taking this means of expressing our sincerest thanks to all who assisted us dying the illness and burial of our mother. We also wish to thank the minister, the donors of the beautiful floral offerings, and all who in any way offered their assistance.The Children -------------------------
