Her case is critical. Her children and families, Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Gerber, son Max and daughter Anna of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. A. Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Peterson of Cedar Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kelley of Columbus Junction are here, and another daughter Mrs. Myrtle Schmitz of Connecticut, is expected today. The Odebolt Chronicle - Thursday , December 25th, 1930 - Mrs. John Boots, an old resident of Early, died at her home early Saturday morning after a week's illness following a stroke of paralysis. Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon, and burial will take place in the Early Union cemetery. She is survived by her husband, five daughters, an adopted son, and one brother, B.D. Joslyn of Early, besides numerous grandchildren and other relatives.
