Read More	Anna 'The Cookie Lady' (Lawson) Simpson, daughter of the late Jesse and Anna Mae (Meade) Lawson was born October 14, 1930, near Eminence, MO., and departed this life on September 3, 2019, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She had attained the age of eighty-eight years, ten months and twenty days. On July 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to Don H. Simpson, who preceded her in death. Anna had resided in Van Buren since 1988 and was formerly of Wentzville, MO. She retired after thirty-eight years from Boise Cascade, as a Payroll Manager. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Van Buren, MO. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, crafts, and baking cookies. Anna was loving, caring, strong-willed, very family-oriented, and a hard worker. In addition to her parents and her husband, Anna is preceded in death by one grandchild, Tammy Rogers; two brothers, Jesse O. Lawson, and John Lawson; and one sister, Martha Fischer. She is survived by one son, Dan Simpson and wife Ann of Granbury, TX; two daughters, Barbara Rogers and husband Jim of Van Buren, MO., and Donna Boschert and Todd Spence of Wildwood, MO; one brother, Merle Lawson of El Paso, TX; eight grandchildren, Don Rogers, Elizabeth Simpson, Chris Simpson, Lena Rogers, Pete Simpson, Michael Boschert, Sara Schneider and Anna Adams; eighteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who mourn her passing. Visitation: Sunday, Sep. 8, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren, MO. Funeral Services: Monday, Sep. 9, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. United Methodist Church Chapel in Van Buren. Officiant: Rev. Jim Cooper. Burial will be in the Wilderness Cemetery in Wilderness, MO. In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the Carter County Nutrition Center at P.O. Box 777 Van Buren, MO. 63965
