Description	:	The Covington Republican, Friday, June 19, 1931 Anna Page was born near Linden, Ind., November 25, 1871, the daughter of John and Rosetta Long. She was one of a family of eight children, six brothers and one sister. Four of the brothers are still living, they are: William of New Richmond; Lon, of Waynestown, Arthur, of Indianapolis, and Ben of Champaign, Ill. Her husband also survives. She was one of a family of eight children, six brothers and one sister. Four of the brothers are still living, they are: William of New Richmond; Lon, of Waynestown, Arthur, of Indianapolis, and Ben of Champaign, Ill. Her husband also survives. She united with the Christian church at New Richmond when just a little girl. On September 20, 1901, she was united in marriage to Bert E. Page and they made their home in New Richmond until they came to Mellott, in 1909. Soon after coming to Mellott, she joined the South Christian church. She was active in all departments of the church work until her health failed. She was a great home body, a devoted wife and a kind, agreeable neighbor. She was ever ready to help the needy and any thing that was for the uplift of the community. She had a virtue which all should emulate. She never spoke ill of any one. She was also a Pythian Sister. All was done that loving hands could do, but Friday morning at 4:10 o'clock, June 12, 1931, just at the peep of day she passed peacefully away after an illness of many months. She will be sadly missed. "I can not say, I will not say, That she is dead-she is just away; With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand, She has wandered into an unknown land." Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Harry A. Davis, of Claremont church, her former pastor, now of Indianapolis, assisted by Rev. Fry and Rev. Burkhart, were held at the North Christian church in Mellott, Sunday at 2 p.m. directed by Shuler & Grenard, undertakers of Waynetown. Interment following at New Richmond, Indiana. This was one of the largest funerals ever held in Mellott, many attending from other localities. The floral tributes were most elaborate and very beautiful, mute testimonies of the sweet ife of the departed one.
