Mrs. Daurer would have observed her 74th birthday on Tuesday. She was born in Bluffalo township Feb. 16, 1863. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bruce, pioneer settlers of the county. Mrs. Daurer would have observed her 74th birthday on Tuesday. She was born in Bluffalo township Feb. 16, 1863. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bruce, pioneer settlers of the county. Born in Buffalo township, she received her primary education in the schools of that district and later attended Immaculate Conception academy in Davenport. She married Louis Daurer April 29, 1885, and the couple established residence in the farm home where she had since lived. The husband died Feb. 24, 1904. Surviving are: Three sons, John J. of Blue Grass, Harry E. at home, and Louis of R.R. No. 1, Stockton; five daughters, Mrs. George Boldt of Blue Grass, Mrs. James Collier of Davenport, Mrs. Tony Brus of McCausland, Mrs. Frank Matschee of Tadot, Wis., and Miss Norma, at home. Four sisters, four brothers and 12 grandchildren also survive. The body was removed to the Runge mortuary, from where it was returned to the family home Saturday. Burial services will be held in the Blue Grass Presbyterian church at 2 p.m. Monday with burial in Blue Grass cemetery.
