Sept. 28, 1933 at the age of 69 years, 2 months and 2 days. She was united in holy matrimony to Frank J. Stadlman June 15, 1884 in Bohemia. Soon after their marriage, they came to America and settled in Knox county near Bazile Mills, where they made their home and reared their family. Their union was blessed with seven children, two of which died in infancy. The five surviving are Anna (Mrs. Steven Kratky) of Travere City, Mich.; Lizzie (Mrs. Peter Vyborne) of Monowi; Mary (Mrs. Joseph Bartak) Creighton; Rose (Mrs. Frank Vrtatke) of Dix, Nebr. and the only son, Joseph Stadlman of Creighton. Her husband, Frank Stadlman, died February 1, 1918 and she was united in marriage to Joseph Herzinger Sept. 8, 1924. Mr. Herzinger died Feb. 6, 1930 and Mrs. Herzinger has been living with her granddaughter, Mrs. John Svitak at Howells. She has been in ill health for some time and recently went to Norfolk and was a patient in the Lutheran hospital there. She underwent a surgical operation in the hope of receiving relief from her illness, but medical skill and loving care were of no avail and she passed out of this earthly tabernacle into the house not made with hands. Mrs. Herzinger was a devoted woman and all of her life was spent in the service of her God and her loved ones. She was of a retiring and unobtrusive disposition and never sought any public notice. She was loving and patient as a wife and mother and kind and obliging as a neighbor and friend and her memory will linger with those who knew her and loved her. Besides her children she is survived by two brothers, Frank Novotny and James Novotny, of Bohemia and twenty-eight grandchildren. The remains were brought to Creighton and services were held from the M.E. church on Saturday afternoon at 1:30. The Rev. R.B.E. Hill had charge of the services and delivered a very inspiring sermon. Neighbors and friends of the deceased gathered to pay their last tribute to the departed one. A nice display of floral offerings attested the esteem she was held not only by members of the family, but by her many acquaintances. Burial was made in Greenwood cemetery beside her first husband.
