Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Kiesau, 71, who died Sunday at the home of her son, O. W. Kiesau, Hoskins, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Home for Funerals and First Methodist church by the Rev. C. T. Hawes, pastor. Hymns were sung by Mrs. Lewis Lederer, with Mrs. M. F. McClelland as her accompanist. Burial was in Prospect Hill cemetery. Those serving as pall bearers were: William Langenburg, Lyle Marotz, Frank Keuger, Herbert Schwindt, Walter Gutzman, and Walter Fleer Sr. Mrs. Kiesau, whose maiden name was Anna Davis, was born Sept. 13, 1877, in Sheboygan county, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis. The family moved to Norfolk in 1880 and Mr. Davis started working in a lumber yard. The family later moved to a farm near Battle Creek. Mrs. Kiesau received her education in the Battle Creek schools and became a professional dressmaker after studying in a dressmaking school in Norfolk. She was married in to Dr. William Kiesau, Norfolk dentist, and to them one son was born. Dr. Kiesau died in 1905. Three years later, Mrs. Kiesau and her son moved to California, their home until 1915, when they returned to operate a farm in this community. She moved to Norfolk in 1933 and resided here until last June when on account of illness she moved to the home of her son near Hoskins. She was a member of the First Methodist church and the Helping Hand Bible class. Surviving are her son, two sisters, Mrs. Mary McKeever and Mrs. Elizabeth Stear, both of Norfolk; a half-brother, Willis Davis, Rock Island, Ill., three half-sisters, Mrs. William Stolver, Boulder, Colo., Mrs. Maude McDonald, Davenport, Ia., and Mrs. Lillian Percy, Pilger, and several nieces and nephews.
