Description	:	The Advocate-Rupublican, Thursday, Nov. 23, 1950, front page: "Exira Resident Died November 20 At St. Anthony's" Mrs. JAcob Andersen died at 5:45 o'clock Monday morning at St. Anthony's hospital in Carroll following several months illness. "Funeral services will be held at the Exira Lutheran Church Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 22 at 1:30, The Rev. Stanley Larsen will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Exira cemetery. "Mrs. Andersen was born in Jyland, Denmark on Nov. 25, 1873. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Madsen Jensen. She came to Audubon county with her parents, in 1892 and has made her home here... She came to Audubon county with her parents, in 1892 and has made her home here since that time. "On March 18, 1896 she was married to Jacob Andersen. During the years of their early married life they lived on various farms in Audubon county. later moving to Brayton where they owned a store. About 20 years ago they moved to Exira where he owned a store. He retired several years ago. "Mrs. Andersen had five sons and four daughters; one son died when a small child. "She is survived by her husband and the following children: Nels, of Harlan; Andrew, of Elk Horn; George and Raymond of Exira; Mrs. John Sjordinga, of Loveland, Colo.; Mrs. Andrew Crawford, Algona; Mrs. John D. Rendleman and Mrs. Richard Green, of Exira."
