Description	:	Mary Hannah was born in Switzerland in 1844. She came to America as a child, living first in New York. Her parents moved to Ohio and in 1854 they came to Iowa. As a young woman she went to Kansas to prove up on a claim and while there met and married James Hannah. He died six years later. She moved back to Montezuma and for the last 14 years she had made her home with her niece Rosa Cooper. She was the last of five girls and a brother Jacob died in 1928.
