Anna was born May 10, 1927 to Joseph and Francis (Chavla) Belak in Gregory, South Dakota. She grew up in Gregory, SD. On October 16, 1945, she married Jerold Orval House at St. John’s Church in Omaha, NE. They lived in Omaha for a short time. In 1946, they moved to Fremont. Anna worked for 30 years at Hormel Foods until her retirement in 1983. She was a church member and member of the ladies auxiliary at St. James Episcopal Church in Fremont, American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, and the Fremont Senior Center. She loved to play bingo, cards and spend time with her family. She is survived by her son, James House and wife Lynette of Fremont; daughters, Darlene Petersen and husband Ronald of Choctaw, OK, Marlene Roumph and husband Robert of Fremont, Pearl Clarke and husband Larry of Fremont, and Pamela Petersen of Fremont; brother, Joe Belak of Gregory, SD; sister, Susan Connet of Gregory, SD; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerold O. House on January 17, 2000. A Memorial Service will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, NE. The Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. There will be a private burial. Memorials may be designated to the Fremont Friendship Center."
