Description	:	Anna Marie Wolff, age 79, of Aplington, Iowa, was born the daughter of Harm and Mary Peters Frieling on January 10, 1923, in Sibley, Iowa. Later the family lived by Fern where she went to school. At age 12, the family moved to Grundy Center where she graduated from high school in 1941. After graduation she received her Normal Teaching Certificate and taught country school at Pleasant Valley #4 and Palermo School in Grundy County. She also taught Sunday School. Read More	Anna Marie Wolff, age 79, of Aplington, Iowa, was born the daughter of Harm and Mary Peters Frieling on January 10, 1923, in Sibley, Iowa. Later the family lived by Fern where she went to school. At age 12, the family moved to Grundy Center where she graduated from high school in 1941. After graduation she received her Normal Teaching Certificate and taught country school at Pleasant Valley #4 and Palermo School in Grundy County. She also taught Sunday School. On June 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Henry Wolff at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center. They farmed south of Aplington until 1989, when they moved to their present home in Aplington. Anna was a member of the Aplington Baptist Church where she was involved in the Home Bible League, White Cross work, and quilted with the women of the church. She especially loved her family, her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, reading and baking. At 4:50 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2002, Anna died at Maple Manor Village in Aplington of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Meinhardt Frieling and a sister, Etta Witte. Anna is survived by her husband, Henry J. Wolff; two daughters, LaDonnis Wolff of Nashua, Iowa; LaDonna Graves and her husband, Don of Dike, Iowa; two sons, LaVern and his wife, Cindy, of Aplington; Gary of Oakland, California; and five grandchildren, Lynette Petersen and her husband, Brian; David Graves and his wife, Kristal; Jason Graves, James and Brian Wolff. There are two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Brady Petersen. She is also survived by two brothers, Ben Frieling of Grundy Center and Herman Frieling of Hegins, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 12 at theAplington Baptist Church with Pastor Marlin Mohrman officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Aplington with Redman-Schwartz Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
