She died on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Sunrise Country Manor in Milford. Anna Marie was born April 20, 1935, at Hartington to Albert and Rose (Arens) Wieseler. She attended District 82 school of rural Hartington and Hartington Public Schools to the eighth grade. She was married to Norbert Schaefer on April 20, 1955, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Helena. She was a member of St. Frances de Chantal Catholic Church of Randolph; and PCCW Ladies Guild of Randolph. After marriage, Anna Marie and Norbert lived in Hillman, Minn., for 10 years. They milked dairy cows and raised cattle while living in Hillman. They moved to the Randolph area in 1967 and farmed there until retiring in 1992. Throughout their years in Randolph, Anna Marie worked at Jerry’s Hilltop Café of rural Randolph. Anna Marie and Norbert enjoyed traveling and going south to Lake Havasu, Ariz., for the winter months. Survivors include sons Ronald Schaefer of Wayne, Thomas and wife Teresa Schaefer of Randolph, Larry and wife Holly Schaefer of Sioux Falls, S.D., Lenard and wife Tammy Schaefer of Stromsburg, Bruce Schaefer of Knoxville, Iowa, daughters Cheryl and husband John Paulsen of Hoskins, and Linda and husband Mike Wiedenfeld of Norfolk; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; brothers Bernard Wieseler of Hartington, and Anthony and wife Medge Wieseler of Hartington; sisters Charlene and husband George Eickhof of California, and Carol and husband Anthony Theone of Hartington. She was preceded in death by husband Norbert in 2007, parents Albert and Rose, daughter Mary Timmerman, granddaughter Andrea, brother Junior, and sister Betty. Concelebrant for the services will be Deacon Doug Tunink. Soloist and guitarist will be George Bradley. Songs will be “Amazing Grace,” “Hail Mary, Gentle Woman,” “On Eagles Wings” and “How Great Thou Art.” Casketbearers are Anna’s grandchildren: Travis Schaefer, Mike Wiedenfeld Jr., Todd Schaefer, Tyler Schaefer, Lucas Schaefer and Evan Timmerman. Honorary casketbearers are Anna’s grandchildren: David, Sandra, Erin, Jenni, Nathen, Alesha, Kayla, Tanner, Becky, Karen, Janet, Cortlyn, Carson, Tucker and Keaton.
