The Rev. P.J. LaValette of Rockford was in charge, assisted by the Rev. Edward O'Hagen of Rockwell. Burial was in the Dougherty Cemetery. Mrs. Hinch was born Jan. 3, 1908. She lived in the Dougherty vicinity before moving to Cartersville. The accident happened a mile south of Cartersville Wednesday night, according to Mr. Hinch, and as Mr. and Mrs. Hinch were going to Dougherty. At a turn, the car door swung open and Mrs. Hinch fell out. Her skull was fractured. She was taken to the Harry Cahalan home by her husband for treatment, he said. Mrs. Hinch failed to regain consciousness. ------------------------ Marion Cahill married Paul Francis Hinch on 11 Aug 1926 in Charles City, Iowa. After her tragic death, her husband was investigated by the police. He was eventually charged with murdering his wife in January 1933 and his case went to court. On 30 April 1933, he was acquitted of all charges based on the evidence. He moved to Florida and died on 19 Sep 1971 in Lilian, Baldwin County, Alabama. From research into various sources, Paul and Anna did not have any children.
