Description	:	Anna Mary Brassor Godfrey CASTLETON - Mrs. Anna Mary Godfrey, 82, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Anna was born January 23, 1922, in Castleton, Vermont, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (LaRose) Brassor. She was employed for several years as the receptionist and desk clerk at the Travel Lodge in Rutland, retiring from there in 1978. She married Mr. Gordon G. Godfrey on September 8, 1977, and together they owned and operated Godfrey's Woodworking business in Hydeville for several years after her retirement. Read More	Anna Mary Brassor Godfrey CASTLETON - Mrs. Anna Mary Godfrey, 82, died Monday, March 22, 2004, at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Anna was born January 23, 1922, in Castleton, Vermont, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (LaRose) Brassor. She was employed for several years as the receptionist and desk clerk at the Travel Lodge in Rutland, retiring from there in 1978. She married Mr. Gordon G. Godfrey on September 8, 1977, and together they owned and operated Godfrey's Woodworking business in Hydeville for several years after her retirement. Mr. Godfrey predeceased his wife on March 12, 2004. Anna enjoyed crocheting and during the past winter months she crocheted over 300 pairs of mittens for her grandchildren and many of the children in the Castleton and Fair Haven areas. She is survived by her children, her stepdaughter, her stepson, and also by her 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and a niece. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 25, 2004, at 2 p.m., at the Durfee Funeral Home in Fair Haven. The Rev. Marshall Hudson-Knapp, Pastor of the First Congregational Church UCC of Fair Haven, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton. Visiting hours for family and friends will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Godfrey may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America Inc., at 2000 L Street N.W., Suite 710, Washington, D.C., 20036, or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, at 6931 Arlington Road, Bethesda, Md., 20814.
