Description	:	OBIT: Anna Mary Cahoon, 81, former longtime Ellensburg resident, died Tuesday, May 9, at Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar, California. She was born in Ellensburg, April 5, 1906, a daughter of John and Bessie (Smyth) Edwards. She attended Ellensburg Normal School and later taught rural public school in the Manastash Canyon Area. She and Amiel Cahoon were married in Ephrata, February 2, 1929. They farmed in the Fairview area for a number of years. She was born in Ellensburg, April 5, 1906, a daughter of John and Bessie (Smyth) Edwards. She attended Ellensburg Normal School and later taught rural public school in the Manastash Canyon Area. She and Amiel Cahoon were married in Ephrata, February 2, 1929. They farmed in the Fairview area for a number of years. Mrs. Cahoon was a member of Grandmothers Club and was a 50-year member of the Women of the Moose. She moved to California a year ago to make her home near her son. She was proceeded in death by her husband in 1972 and by two sons, Clinton in 1975 and Robert in 1985. She is survived by a son, Jack Cahoon of Sun City, California; two daughters-in-law, Betty Cahoon of Ellensburg and Dorothy Knutson of Walla Walla; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and four brothers, Albert, Ralph, Lloyd, and Dick Edwards. Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday at High Valley Cemetery on Robinson Canyon Road west of Ellensburg. Pastor Fred Lampley will officiate. Friends who wish to attend may meet at the cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Heart Fund or the Cancer Fund. Ellensburg Daily Record, May 15, 1989
