Description	:	Funeral services will be held Friday at the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home in Marshalltown for Mrs Fred (Pearl) Goecke, 87, formerly of rural State Center, who died Tuesday evening, October 16 at Colonial Manor, Zearing, where she had been a patient the past two months. The former Anna Pearl Billman, she was born June 30, 1886 near State Center in the Harland community, the daughter of Henry E and Emma R Ankeny Billman. She was educated in the rural schools and attended State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She married Fred Goecke on January 6, 1910 and they always resided in rural State Center, until moving to Marshalltown in 1947. They made their home in Marshalltown until returning to rural State Center, two years ago. Mrs Goecke was a member of Minerva Wesley Chapel and the United Methodist Women of the church, Central Chapter, O.E.S. and the Lamoille Amvets Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a granddaughter. Surviving are her widower Fred; two sons and two daughters, Mrs Emma Collins of Sedalia, Colorado, Clarence L Goecke of Waterloo, Kenneth E Goecke and Mrs Ralph A (Virginia) White of State Center; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers, Mrs Sadie Vajgrt of Cornell, Wisconsin, Mrs Vernon (Mable) Wolfe of Marshalltown, Fred Billman and Carroll Billman of Grinnell, Ray Billman of Tama, Floyd Billman of State Center and Mrs Mary Willia of Des Moines.
