Thiessen this morning at 3:00 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rudolph Dalchow, 312 North Ninth street. In the death of Mrs. Thiessen, marks the close of one of the oldest setters in this vicinity. At the time of her passing she was 84 years old. The deceased was born in Weimer, Saxony, Germany, in the year 1837, and came to make her home in America in 1852, settling in Milwaukee, Wis. In the year 1854, she was united in marriage to Fredrick Rockrohr and after their marriage lived for two years at Beaver Dam, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Rockrohr came to Iowa in 1862, coming in a wagon across the prairies and located what is now known as the Ten-Mile house where they made their home until 1882, when they moved to Lyons. Mr. Rockrohr passed away six years later. In 1900 she was united in marriage to C. W. Thiessen who also passed away in 1907. For the past three years, Mrs. Thiessen has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. R. Dalchow. She leaves to mourn her passing three sons, Charles, of Lyons, Otto Rockrohr, also of Lyons, and Emil Rockrohr, of Maquoketa; and her daughter, Mrs. R. Dalchow. She also leaves two brothers, George Reyman of Elvira; August Reyman, of Kassia, Ia., and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Rixon, of Lyons. Eighteen grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock from St. John Lutheran church with rev. C. H. Jabker in charger. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. The funeral servies for the late Mrs. Anna Thiessen were conducted this afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rudolph Dalchow, 312 North Ninth street, with services at St. John's Lutheran church at 1 o'clock, Rev. C. H. Jabker, pastor officiating. The choir of St. John's rendered a number of beautiful sacred selections.
