Description	:	Anna Sarah Held, 102, of Geneva, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of congestive heart failure. She was born April 27, 1906, in Madison Township, Butler County, daughter of Sebo and Anna Kramer. On Sept. 3, 1932, she married Elmer F. Held. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Held graduated from Geneva Consolidated High School in 1924 and received her teaching certificate from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She was born April 27, 1906, in Madison Township, Butler County, daughter of Sebo and Anna Kramer. On Sept. 3, 1932, she married Elmer F. Held. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Held graduated from Geneva Consolidated High School in 1924 and received her teaching certificate from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She taught in various country schools in the Ackley area, then moved on to teach in the Aplington school system. She and her husband farmed south of Geneva until 1960 when they retired. She was a member of Geneva United Methodist Church. Survived by: four daughters, Margery (Carl) Miller of Ellenton, Fla., Lois (Leonard) Koch of Hollywood, Fla., Marlys (Larry) Meyer of Geneva and Elma Kay (D. Neil) Emmons of Cheyenne, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: two sisters, Louise Warneke and Irene Held. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Geneva United Methodist Church, with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, rural Geneva. Public visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Sietsema Funeral Home, Ackley. Memorials: may be directed to the church or Franklin County Historical Society.
