On February 10, 1903 she was united in marriage to Henry Boesch at St. Bernard by Fr. Albert. To this union was born eight children, five boys and three girls; Joseph, Anthony, Florence, Conrad, Rosie, Leo, Catherine, and Henrietta. For the first three years of their married life they made their home at St. Bernard, then moved to a farm near Albion where they resided for one year and later they moved to a farm three miles west of Cedar Rapids where they have since made their home. Besides her husband and children the deceased is survived by seven brothers and one sister, Peter Schmitz, Cedar Rapids, Nebr., Mrs. Geo. Schaecker, Nazerath, Texas, Joe Schmitz, Lindsay, Nebr., Matt Schmitz, Naper, Nebr., Killie Schmitz, Lindsay, Nebr., John Schmitz, Petersburg, Nebr., Nic Schmitz, Naper, Nebr., Tony Schmitz, Petersburg, Nebr., and one grandchild. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9 A.M. from the St. Anthony's church, Rev. Fr. Vermullen officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Parish cemetery at Cedar Rapids. Six of her brothers acted as pallbearers. People from out of town attending the funeral were three brothers of Mr. Boesch's and one sister, Mrs. Litkinhaus, Mr. Weis of Petersburg and Jake Wessel and John Albracht from Platte county. _____ Card of Thanks Neighbors and friends were exceeding kind during the illness and following the death of our beloved wife and mother, the late Mrs. Henry Boesch, and to those friends we wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation for their many deeds of kindness and expressions of sympathy.
