DOBBERT IS DEAD Mrs. Anna Dobbert, a resident of Plymouth County nearly all her life, died at her home in Struble Saturday, April 1, at the age of 57 years, following a stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Dobbert was ill with an attack of influenza earlier in the spring and suffered a sgtroke in march. A second stroke on Saturday proved fatal. Mrs. Anna Dobbert was born March 16, 1874, near Waukesha, Wis. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schumann, early settlers in Plymouth County. They came to Le Mars in 1880 and settled in Stanton township where Mrs. Dobbert spent the greater portion of her life. She attended rural schools and helped in the work of the household on the farm until her marriage with Frank Dobbert in 1892. After their marriage they engaged in farming on their own account in Stanton Township until 1913 when they moved to a farm near Struble where she lived until last month when she moved into the village of Struble. Mr. Dobbert died in 1926. Mrs. Dobbert leaves to mourn her death five sons, Clarence, Ray, Leland, and Maynard Dobbert, of Struble, and Arthur Dobbert, of Ireton, and one daughter, Mrs. Carl Wilde, Struble, and one grandchild. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. John Schumann, of Hinton, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Reints, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Philip E. Held, of Hinton, and two brothers, Wm. Schumann, of Stanton Township, and Albert Schumann, of San Diego, Calif. Mrs. Dobbert through her long residance in the county, was widely known and was connected by ties of blood and marriage with many prominent families in the county and enjoyed a large acquaintance and many friendships. Last Rites This Afternoon The funeral will be held from the home this afternoon, April, at 1:45. Services will be held in St. Paul's Methodist Church in this city at 2 o'clock, Rev. S. C. Steinbrenner officiating. Interment will be made in the city cemetery. The pallbearers, friends and neighbors of the family, are John Schlesser, Eugene Osborne, John Rodenbour, Michael Land, John Boever and Louis Hennrich.
