Description	:	Anna Steece Cotton, eldest daughter of George D. and Eva Cotton, was born at Stuart, Nebr. on March 6, 1888. She spent her girlhood at home, but was educated in the Marietta, Ohio schools. After teaching school a few years, she was married to Charles Broeker on September 10, 1913. They lived on a farm ten miles northeast of Creighton, where with her newborn babe, she passed away on July 10, 1929 at the age of 41 years, 4 months and 4 days. After teaching school a few years, she was married to Charles Broeker on September 10, 1913. They lived on a farm ten miles northeast of Creighton, where with her newborn babe, she passed away on July 10, 1929 at the age of 41 years, 4 months and 4 days. She leaves to mourn her husband, six children, (the eldest being 14) Viola, Evelyn, Carl, Vivian, Willia and Dorothy, all at home; her mother, Mrs. George Cotton of Stuart, Nebr. and five sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Broker united with the Presbyterian church at an early age and remained a devout member until death. She was a good daughter to her parents, a real mother in her home and a neighbor, whose kindness and geniality made her many friends, who will keenly feel her loss. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. Benjamin Kuhler officiating. A large concourse of neighbors and friends gathered to pay their final respects to the deceased and the huge floral offerings attested the esteem in which this good woman was held in the community.
